Balances of payroll activity & register do not match

Hi

So I have managed to finalise all employees for the year 21/22, but one employee. This employee left us at the end of July, but reinstated in November 2021. When he came back, I made a new card for him.

On the payroll activity report, he has the correct balances but the register report is short by his payout figure from July.

I have removed the termination date and made him active, run multiple $0 payruns, reversed & re-run his termination pay, backed up & altered the offline file employee history (obviously this does not then update the online file as suggested by MYOB), contact MYOB multiple times, am aware this needs to be completed by the 31st, and done everything else suggested and thought of but still the reports are out by the employee's termination balance. Changing the employee history card file updates for the 22/23 fin year, I need the change to be in the 21/22 year. I have already done payruns in this fin year.

I know the error is the termination pay, but cant see why its not recording on the register report, surely its something simple. If I can get the register & activity reports to match, Im sure a $0 payrun will update the STP etc. but how do I get them to match?????

Another 2hrs on the phone with MYOB trying everything again and it suddenly 'disconnects?' :smileymad:, I have multiple emails with MYOB, this issue is ment to have been escalated but noone seems to know and really have no idea where to go next.

Any suggestions, greatly appreciated.

Thanks

    Hi TRACEY1234,

Thank you for your post, however, sorry to hear you've been unable to resolve this.

So that I can assist you further, could you please confirm if you did have a backup of the file prior to the payroll year rolling over (pay entered in the new FY)?
