Business Settings - unable to change email

Hi

I am unable to add an email to the business settings (or any other setting).  I follow instructions but then get this error

Please enable Emailing from desktop AccountRight preferences setting: Access the file via AccountRIght > Setup > Preferences > Emailing > Enable Send Emails Using AccountRight option.

When I click on help, it tells me to do exactly what I had tried to do, with a sentence at the end telling me to contact support.

I really would like to send off 22 payslips, but an unable to until this is fixed.

any ideas on why it won't work?

    Hi

just picked up a new client and have done the first payroll.  I then went to email payslip and got and error telling me emails wasn't set up in business settings.  So, I go to do that and it won't let me update.

This is what it tells me to do.

Please enable Emailing from desktop AccountRight preferences setting: Access the file via AccountRIght > Setup > Preferences > Emailing > Enable Send Emails Using AccountRight option.

the file is in the new Business format and when I go to the help for that page it tells me to do exactly what I am trying to do, and that if I can't fix it to contact help.

Has anyone had this issue and can tell me a solution without waiting for the help desk to get to me?

    thanks in advance

  • Hi DeniseKingston

This error means that emailing online function is not enabled. It can be enabled by opening AccountRight on your desktop app and then going to Setup > Preferences > Emailing > Enable Send Emails Using AccountRight option.

If you have already done that and still getting this error, please send me a screenshot of the window where you have enabled this setting and we'll investigate this further.

    Hi Komal

the file is now in the new MYOB business, so I am confused as to how I would open it in account right?
