Employee terminated and reinstated as casual but leave still showing in entitlements

Whilst I cannot answer the problem occuring directly - my suggestion is that 'I never use the same emplee if they have gone'.

If an employee terminates - they terminate - I start afresh - create a new employee - because as soon as someone goes - I draw a line in the sand - clean exit in MYOB and I go into ATO Reporting and terminate that employee straight away.

If they return (and this has happened a few times) though we do not do it anymore - but can understand the need for this to happen - I ALWAYS start afresh.

Keeps things clean and tidy - and one of the messiest things in business is staff employment.

Just an opinion that has worked well for me over 40 years of employing staff.

I too have the same trouble - reinstating a former full time employee as a casual.  Because they are returning within eligible time frames for continuity of employement conditions for long service, their original start date must remain as it was - however their employee card shows a balance in accrued leave that should be zero.

How do I send a private message?  I clicked on the underline link but it only took me to a generic screen. saying 'Private Messages' with nothing else.  When I clicked on the only option of 'start a post' it took to to a fresh page for the general community forum.  So I tried logging in and it did the same....

I am having the same issue.  Parttime to casual - all leave paid out.  Now casual back to parttime & leave is showing up again when I remove termination date?
