Has MYOB fixed the problem that was encountered last year where you can not process payroll for the new Financial Year until 1 July?
My payroll period is 21 - 27/06/21 with a paydate of 1/7/21. Can I process this payroll today or do I need to wait until Thursday (1/7/21) to process?

Just in case anyone finds themselves here with the same issue, MYOB have confirmed that this is now an issue only for offline files. If you have an offline file, you will only be able to process a payrun with a paydate in July from 1st July. It looks like this issue has been solved for online files.
This does not appear to be the case. MYOB will not allow a July paydate when preparing in June.
This was meant to be fixed after the drama it caused last year. Is it really just the same situation again a whole year later?
I just got off the phone with support and they confirm it doesn't work?

Looking at your account, based on the notes they do indicate that you are encountering a Something has gone wrong... message which sounds like a different situation than being stopped by entering a pay based on the payroll year date.
So the MYOB Community can offer additional assistance to your situation would you be able to provide additional information into what is occurring i.e. when you are getting that message? What is the exact wording of the message? - if it does include an error log (bottom left) can you provide that error log.

Thanks for your reply. The payroll tech support just said that this was still the case?
I'm trying to create a payrun - when I enter a June payment date, it allows me to proceed to the next screen. When I enter a July date (I need to date it 2/7/21), it gives the attached error.
I'm using MYOB on my desktop if that helps (not an online file)
