JobMaker declaration

Hi JED2 and Jobmaker 

The way JobMaker works in your software is that only eligible employee cards will appear in the JobMaker tab. This is determined by the hours paid in the period, the start date and the date of birth in the employee card. When you declare the employee the JobMaker code is sent to the ATO. 

Just like the JobKeeper start and finish codes (JOBKEEPER-START-FN01 etc) no $ amounts are sent to the ATO with these codes as they are notification codes only. They don't advise the ATO of any hours or amounts paid. Additionally, the JobMaker payment is not based on amounts paid but is a lump sum based on the hours worked/paid.

If you go to the Payroll reporting centre>>EOFY finalisation tab>>click on the ellipsis (...) for the employee and select Download you will see the current JobMaker notification. If you have declared for period 3 you will have this code in the Summary of payments report:

If you can let me know exactly which error you are receiving I can help with resolving it through your software. Also check in the JobMaker tab that your employees say nominated (not renominated) and declared in the applicable columns.

Jobmaker I'm not sure which MYOB report you are referring to, if you can let me know I'll be happy to assist with that issue.

ISSUE RESOLVED BY WAITING 72 HOURS FOR ATO TO "CATCH UP" WITH DECLARATION MADE THROUGH MYOB.

After rerunning ATO report today correct "allowance code" shows as per yellow highlight above.

Again greatly appreciate the "background" to how and what "data" sent to ATO by MYOB as will help re claim 4 as have told accountant to wait AT LEAST 72 hours after further declarations BEFORE lodging claim.

I have checked portal and yes same result, the 72 hour wait seems to fix any issues.

Thanks for your post. Can I confirm that pays have been processed and declared for that period? It might also be worth a call to the ATO to find out exactly what the issue is. I found this information on the ATO website which may help.

Yes pays have been processed and declared for the period.

From the ATO link you included - I think our accountant is looking in the right spot. We successfulled nominated and declared for an earlier period.

From a software perspective if you can see the declaration date then the employee's declaration has been successful. I can't find any information on the ATO website about that specific error your accountant is seeing. I would recommend checking with the ATO as to the exact issue and how it needs to be resolved.

I sent my accountant your comments and a screenshot of the Jobmaker Declaration and he asked

"Looking at your email below the nomination is for 7/01/21- 06/04/21

Is there an option in the software  to make same election for the next period being 07/04/21- 06/07/21? i.e the next period we are claiming?"

Is that possible?
