MYOB Teams - Leave and Timesheet Setup

We are an organisation where employees work standard hours of 7.6 hours, Mon to Fri.  Currently timesheets are manually completed fortnightly i.e. 7.6 hours each day with any leave shown.  Would you please confirm that my understanding is correct, that MYOB team is only suitable for employees whose hours/days differ.

We also are currently using manual leave application forms.  We have trialled MYOB Teams for leave applications but find that an employee cannot be an approver of leave and an employee?  A few employees approve leave for their staff, and their leave is approved by their manager but they do not appear on the drop down employee list once assigned as a leave approver.

Leave applied for and approved also does not transfer over when processing payroll.  Is this because it only transfers onto the timesheet?

Grateful for your advice on above and whether MYOB Teams would be suitable for our organisation of approx. 50 employees.

  • Hi Maria6062

Thanks for your post and sorry to see that no one has replied yet. MYOB Team allows employees to clock on/clock off through the MYOB Team app and check their rostered hours. Employers can distribute and approve rosters, manage timesheets, oversee multiple locations, and have an overview of who is working from any device. MYOB Team will allow you to set up 4 different time captures that your employees can use to record there hours worked, this being:

    • Clock on, Clock off mobile: for businesses whose employees will use their mobile device to capture and prove attendance with high accuracy

    • Clock on, Clock off - tablet kiosk: for businesses with a fixed location(s) and an emphasis on capturing and proving attendance with high accuracy on a kiosk tablet
    • Timesheets (Payroll only): employees use their mobile device to record their time retrospectively (ie at end of day or week) and the business has lower emphasis on proving attendance

    • Timesheets (Payroll & Time Billing): as above, but for businesses who also wish to capture employees time for time billing purposes

If you'd like to enter the standard hours worked Monday - Friday within MYOB Team, this would need to be created manually within the MYOB Team admin portal or the employees can enter this via the timesheet feature.

For an employee to be able to approve leave they would need to be set up as an approving manager with employees assigned to that approving manager. Our help article Getting started with MYOB Team has information on how to set up an approving manager under Step 4. Additionally, approved leave will appear in a timesheet within your MYOB Software.

    Hi Melisa_D,

I have the same issue : How do we assign employee approving manager to be under another approving manager.

Basically I need employee 1 is manager of Employee 2.

Employee 2 is manager Employee 3

Empoyee 3 is manager Employee 4.

This is something that will happen to many companies.

    Regards.

  • We also have the same issue. Our employees do a standard 7.5 hour day monday to Friday but it is showing up as 7.6 hours. How can we change this?
