Preparing July Payroll in June

Just trying to find out if this is still an issue this year. Phone support was unable to understand my question and I wasn't allowed to speak to a payroll specialist myself.

We will need to prepare our first July 2022 payrun in June as payment is due 1/7/22 and we prepare 2 to 3 days earlier, which will be in June.

This was a huge problem the last 2 years as an error occurred when trying to do this. Our datafile needed to be sent in to apply a fix.

Has this been rectified yet or are we expecting the same probem again?

    That's great news, thanks Chris

  • Hello HM2

Thank you for your question. You most certainly can record the payroll across the financial year now and you won't get the error you had in the past. However, we do recommend waiting until the next AccountRight release (2022.5) so that we can update the super rates automatically for you.

If you can't wait, you'll need to manually select the new minimum required rate option in your superannuation guarantee payroll category. Please note that by recording a future-dated pay like this, you'll need to manually check all your superannuation guarantee payroll categories to ensure they're set up correctly for the new payroll year.

The planned release of 2022.5 is on the 20th of June

please let me know if this information has helped.
