self managed super fund with no ESA

1. How can I pay superannuation to my employee's self managed super fund with no ESA as I cannot register her the self managed super fund in MYOB without ESA?

2. I have 2 other employees with normal super fund. Can I pay only to these 2 super fund first by unticking the employee with self managed super fund and pay her directly to her super fund's bank account?

Thank you for your help.

    Hi stbenedicts

You are correct that to set up the SMSF and pay it via Pay Super in AccountRight, ESA detials are required. And according to the ATO's website, to receive SuperStream data, the SMSF does need an ESA. We'd suggest checking with your employee or the trustee/administrator of the Self Managed Super Fund for the ESA.

From the software perspective, it allows you to tick the desired funds/employees only then process the payment via Pay Super in AccountRight. However, whether this (paying to the SMSF's bank account directly) is SuperSteam compliant or not, please do check with your accountant or with ATO directly.
