Export doesn't work properly

When I do an export of Item data, I do not get back what is visible in the fields.  For example, I have values in the Price Levels A, B, C, D, E and F which are visible in the Item Selling Details tab, but which are exported as completely different numbers when I do the export of the data.  We use these fields for example as Retail, Trade, etc.  This is critical for us to ensure we have the correct prices in the system and the extract is then imported into our catalogue.  How do I get the visible prices to be in the export?

  • I can get the Retail price by running the Inventory > Price List [Summary] report but unfortunately can't edit that to show me the Trade or any other price.

Hi Tansel , can you try the export again but this time unmatch the long "item description" field. Does this improve the result?

  • Hi Tansel

A common cause for 'wrong' selling prices being exported is due to duplicate entries in the price matrix. These are not visible to the user. Basically sometimes when importing a price update, rather than updating, MYOB creates a new entry. When you view selling prices on screen, MYOB retrieves one of the prices. When you export, it retrieves a different one. Who knows which price it will use when you generate an invoice.

Suggest you get MYOB to run duplicate price matrix script on the online file and see if this resolves.
