Integration with Workshop Software

I am working for a friend who has Workshop Software (began July 1 2025) and has it integrated with MYOB. The WS has an integration section with all the key accounts mapped to an MYOB account.

The mapping seems to be working OK except that the Customer Payments section - we have mapped Direct Deposits to the Bank account, EFTPOS to an EFTPOS bank account (1-xxxx) and other stuff to a third mapped account, but everything is going to MYOB in to Undeposited Funds. Is this intentional or in there a mapping problem?

    Hey Peterll,

It's nice to see that you're helping your mate get their Workshop Software chatting to MYOB. With the customer payments landing in Undeposited Funds, even though you’ve mapped Direct Deposits to the Bank account and EFTPOS to the right place, most likely the culprit is the linked account settings. To check where customer deposits are actually being parked,

    • Go to Setup
    • Linked Accounts
    • Sales Accounts, then check the Liability Account for Customer Deposits

If it’s pointing to Undeposited Funds, everything’s going to end up there no matter what your mapping says. Update that to the account you want, and you should see the payments land where they’re meant to.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

Thank you for that Doreen, but MYOB is linked to the Bank Account. Even if your suspicion had been correct, it would not have explained why everything went to undeposited funds. There are 2 mappings - Customer Payment to MYOB Bank Account and EFTPOS Payments to EFTPOS MYOB account - and everything is going to Undeposited Funds.

    Hi Peterll,

Really appreciate you giving all those details. Since there’s a bit of a mystery with the bank and EFTPOS mapping, to get make sure to reach out to our team so they can take a closer look. You can contact them on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via MyAccount.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

    Hi Doreen,

I have openend MyAccount and logged in but the file I want does not show. I can log in to that file online, as I am an administrator, but I can't access to get to a support request. Does only the owner have access to this? I really don't want to use MOCA. I have done a support case before and. it has worked well.

Hi Peterll , when customer payments are posted from external systems, they include specific details of the relevant bank account. So it seems to me you should be asking Workshop support about this question.
