Bulk Updating Employee Pay Rates

There is no way in Myob business to update employee rates in bulk.

With minimum wage increases every year the only way to change base/sat/sun etc rates is to manually go in and change them for every employee.

You also have to do this for every code we've had to setup for the different ages. eg. Saturday16yrsOld, Saturday17yrsOld.

How is there not a bulk export/upload option to fix this?

I use Deputy for rostering and they have a simple function for bulk uploading the different age/day rates after selecting the relevant Award.

The import sample txt file as I was informed about from a MYOB consultant doesnt use your exisiting employees this is only for new employee data and only covers base rate.

    Hi Bec18,

It’s always good to hear what’s causing a bit of hassle for you! You’re absolutely right, AccountRight’s setup only lets you update an employee’s base rate in one go. But when it comes to managing those extra wage categories, like Saturday rate, Sunday rate, or Night rate, it’s a different story. Updating those, unfortunately, needs to be done manually one at a time, not in bulk. Bit of a fiddly job, I know.

I really appreciate you flagging this, though. It’s clear you’ve been doing a thorough job with your payroll setup! We reckon this idea of bulk-updating wage categories could be a great addition, and the team’s always keeping an eye on suggestions from our ideas board for future improvements. If you’re keen, you can hop over there and pop in this idea. Even small changes like these can snowball into something game-changing down the line.

    Regards,

    Sai

    Hi,

This only updates an employee's base rate in AccountRight. The OP stated there are multiple wage categories Saturday rate, Sunday rate, Night rate, which the thread you linked does not address.

    Thanks

    Hi there Ashi1,

When dealing with bulk pay rates and an error "2603: Banking information is incomplete" comes up, you can split them into smaller batches. This can make it easier to manage and resolve any import issues. You can check this Community Forum post for more information. In addition, make sure to contact our support team directly on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via MyAccount so they can look into the error.

    Best regards,

    Doreen

    Hi there NTD

Since you're using MYOB Business, the information that can be imported is limited. You can check this link for more information about importing employees. Feel free to post again if you encounter issues in the future.

    Best regards,

    Doreen

  • Unfortunately that doesnt help me as i'm using MYOB Business not Account Right so there is no export capability with these options.
