Super Paid through external Clearing House

How do I mark the super as paid that was paid through the ATO super portal, so it does not show as still outstanding when I am now paying through MYOB.

I will be paying super through MYOB from next pay date onwards, however in MYOB, its showing that past super payments that I have already paid through Super Clearing house are still outstanding, is there a way to clear these prior to changing to the weekly payments in MYOB?

    Hi Vicki_D,

Yes, what you’re seeing can happen if the earlier super payments were made through the ATO super portal or another clearing house instead of through MYOB. Those older payments don’t automatically flow back into MYOB Pay Super, so they can still appear as outstanding in MYOB even though they’ve already been paid. Before you start paying super through MYOB from your next pay date, the safest thing to do is:

    • reconcile your super liability in MYOB so you can see what’s already been paid outside MYOB
    • confirm your cut-off date so there’s no overlap between the old method and MYOB Pay Super
    • make sure you don’t submit any past periods through MYOB that were already paid via the ATO portal, as this could cause a double payment

So in short, you can move to paying through MYOB going forward, but you’ll want to treat the earlier ATO-paid amounts separately rather than reprocessing them in MYOB.

    Regards,

    Sai
