MYOB Assist

I do not like this MYOB assist at all.  I hate having to log in everytime just to upload my invoices.

 

And the camera will not take a picture of some invoices it just says hold steady for ages.

 

The old one was so much easier to use.

  • Is it possible to have assist on its own (like Captcha) without having to log in? We have staff that use capture without logging into MYOB to keep account safe.

    Hi KF1,

     

    Having a captcha in the MYOB Assist app would definitely be handy. Right now with the new app, staff just need to sign in with their MYOB account to capture or upload receipts, and that login process is one of the ways we keep your business data secure.

     

    Captcha isn’t available at the moment, but there are still a couple of easy ways to stay secure while letting staff upload receipts. You can give them limited roles/permissions so they can capture and upload without getting full access to your file. Another option is to use your file’s Uploads/In Tray email address, so staff can simply email receipts straight into MYOB without needing to log in to the app at all.

    Hi KF1​ and splashmountain​ , bit of a late reply sorry, but this information will be helpful for you both.

    Regarding the camera failing, a workaround for your device would be to take a picture using your mobile the regular way and upload it to your account by selecting from saved photos. 

     

    For staff signing in, as Princess mentioned, they will need to do this on the Assist app, but you can use the 'contacts' role to simplify this

    • Use the Contacts role for team members if you wish to control visibility of reports, invoices, and sensitive information.
    • Team members with Payroll and Sales roles can also now use the capture functionality within the Assist app.


    Quick tip: 
    Login to your AccountRight account via the browser and create a user profile by going to Settings > Users and permissions > and assign them as a file users with Contacts permissions
