MYOB Assist

I have a client trying to upload MYOB Assist, but no longer has login details.  She is a GP, and an old practice manager was doing it, but long since gone, and she now doesn’t access MYOB at all.  How do we get new login details – or does she use mine??

    Hi glenicet

It does work differently to the previous capture app now where users are required to login.

Based on feedback, we did make an update to help your clients upload receipts without full user access. Use the Contacts role to provide access while keeping reports and sensitive data protected.

We know that the Contacts role was really popular within the old Capture app, so we’ve rebuilt this capability in MYOB Assist to ensure a smooth transition for your customers.

Payroll and sales roles can now use the capture functionality within the Assist app as well.

Thanks Mike, do I do this through my own MYOB datafile, or the client's file - they do have 5 of them!!  Also do I add a contact or user.  If only we could use old Capture, it was so simple!!

    Hi glenicet,

It really comes down to which file your client needs to get into and where you want their details saved. The MYOB Assist app will send receipts into the In Tray for whichever online file the user has access to, so just link it up to the file where you want everything to end up. To give them access, simply add them as a new user using their email address. You can still keep things locked down by controlling what they can see and do in each file by following the steps on this link.

    Cheers,
