Delete an Administrator

I had MYOB help back in March 2025.

The support person added herself as Administrator1 using her email address in our system.

I would like access removed and deleted so that our company file is secure.

I was told that this is not possible.

I believe that your call support operators should not have permanent Administrator access to our confidential company file(s).

Hi BelindaUrban3 , thanks for confirming this.

I will be making sure that feedback and training is provided to this team member and I am sorry again for the inconvenience.
I want to assure you again, that this person has been removed from the systems, but I acknowledge they are still showing in your file after deletion.

I will send you a private message to confirm the file you are looking at, as I believe I can ask one of our senior team members to try and remove this from the file for you.

    Regards, Mike

I guess that would be a good way of doing it if the helpdesk person had a "@myob.com" email address.  In this case, the user that was granted access had an email address ending "@concentrix.com" and they set themselves up as Administrator1.

I have been informed that MYOB helpdesk are not able to remove this user.

This is a very frustrating issue.

    Hi BelindaUrban3

You're absolutely right, MYOB staff should not have any long term access to customers files.

It can definitely be necessary at times to do this to help resolve customer queries, but once that interaction finishes the access should be removed.

We actually run a daily script to remove any contacts from customers files that have an email ending with "@myob.com" and I can see that there are no staff listed as a contact on your account.
