NZ AIM return

I'm setting up an AIM return in AccountRight for the first time ever. This is AIM only, no GST.

The FYE is 31-03-2027.

When I get to the end of the setup, I'm only presented with Sept 25 to March 26.

Does anyone know how I select a month in the current financial year?

I tried closing the previous year but still get the same choices.

I tried changing the GST period manually to May 2026 but that made no difference.

This is what I am presented with.

  • Hi Colleen,

Thanks for reaching out. It’s clear you’ve already done quite a bit of digging on your side.

What you’re seeing is most likely because the current AIM period only becomes available once that month has ended. So if you’re trying to file for May while it’s still May, that would explain why only the earlier periods are showing. It’d be worth checking again on 1 June to see if May 2026 becomes available in the AIM period list.

    Cheers,

    Princess

Thank you for replying. Someone responded on Facebook and the penny dropped. I was trying to do a test run to check that I had my mapping correct. You are correct, I was looking for May 26 and my brain saw April 26 as the last month in the last financial year! There's been many negative comments about MYOB and AIM, so crossing fingers it works. 🤞🤞 I will post an update as there's not much online about it. Maybe everyone is happy 😊 I hope so.
