I need to run a report showing the gross profit by transaction for a specific category. The category profit & loss report does this in summary by category code. Is it possible to expand on this to show each transaction for sales and cost of sales that makes up the total?

Sorry to see that no one has replied to you yet. The Category Profit & Loss will only show the totals and the net profit/loss. To view transactions you would need to run the Category Activity, Category Transactions or Category General ledger reports.
