Online Payments - opting out!

Please be careful, we had to verify a new business account recently and as soon as verified I went in and turned off the Online Payment Option. We still had invoices that were sent with Card Options turned on and sent with our invoice.

It is disgusting that MYOB can do this. I now know you can edit options on individual invoices before sending, but as I had done my due dilegence and turned it off through Settings, I thought I was safe. I was not. I was paid from a client on the 28th (Sunday) and we are still waiting 2 days later to recieve the money!!! Osko takes 2 minutes from client paying, cleared and in our account!!!

I am so disgusted with MYOB and I believe it is criminal what they are doing with the online payment schedules. Where do we go from there?

    Hi nemrac,

I can understand why you’d feel let down, especially after you’d already turned the option off and expected that to be enough. Once online payments is verified, new invoices have online payments enabled by default, and the payment options can also be changed on each invoice before it’s sent. For the payment made on Sunday, online invoice payments can take 1 to 2 business days to reach your bank depending on the bank’s processing cut-off times, so it can be slower than an Osko transfer. What I’d suggest from here is:

    • check the Transaction Details report in MYOB to see whether the payment is showing as Settled money.
    • for future invoices, open the invoice and click Edit so you can switch off Cards and digital wallets on that specific invoice before sending.

If the funds still haven’t landed after the 2 business day window, reach out to our live chat support through our virtual assistant, MOCA, or submit a case via My Account and we’ll look into it further.

    Regards,

    Sai
