Can I Adjust the Superannuation Payable on Dashboard?

The amount showing on browser superannuation payable is the wrong figure. It is in fact showing negative $4,614, where the correct amount should be (positive) $2,318. This was caused by the previous bookkeeper (2019-Jun 2022) because she processed the super payment via Spend Money (to Aust Tax Office), using the Liability for super payable (same one that is linked in payroll), effectively causing double amounts in the Liability Account.
I have been paying through "pay super" in MYOB since I have been here (July 2022) and haven't worried too much as I know all of my figures were correct for each Superannuation Payrun.
I would like to know if there is a journal or something I could do to adjust the figure on Dashboard so it is correct.
Thanks

    Thanks Princess_R,

I have checked and all the superannuation pay items are selected to our superannuation liability account rather than the default setting of MYOB being the PAYG liability account, so it is set up correctly.

The issue was caused by the previous admin entering the super payment to ATO through spend money and allocating to 2-3200 Superannuation payable, as well as it being linked in each payroll run, hence doubling up on 2-3200.

    Hi DonnaLee1972,

The superannuation payable amount you see on the MYOB dashboard is just a summary based on your payroll settings, and you can't tweak it directly from there. If you need to adjust the superannuation payable, you'll want to make sure your payroll settings—like super contributions and pay items—are spot on. Also, chat with your accountant or bookkeeper about handling this matter. Here's a link that might help correct super payable figures.

    Cheers,

    Princess
