EPT Taxable and PAYGW Reporting

In the EOFY STP reporting section there is a specific category of PAYGWH on the ETP. Is there an option that pops up in MYOB reporting so that it's not directed through the usual PAYGW reporting?

The accountant has advised that ETP payment is reportable by the ex-employee but not by the company as legally instructed (reason and matter I cant describe)

Can any one please advise on this

Thank you

    Hi Michelle55,

Thanks for reaching out. MYOB does have specific ATO reporting categories set up just for ETPs, so they’re separated from the usual PAYGW reporting in STP. There isn’t currently an option in MYOB that will pop up and automatically warn you about that. Instead, it would need to be checked and linked manually to the correct ETP reporting category. This article does go into more detail around how ETPs are processed.

If your accountant has advised that this particular payment shouldn’t be reported by the company, it does sound like a special payroll or legal scenario. In that case, it’d be best to double-check the exact treatment with the ATO or your accounting advisor.

    Cheers,
