Quickbooks/Reckon/Intuit have had the email function for payg summaries for years
this is one of those rare occasions when MYOB has fallen behind
lets get this happening - after all we can email pay slips
When processing the p[ayment summaries you have the option to save them in the folder for that year, if you do this you can email the payment summaries but using an attachment on your emails.

Well for as long as I can remember when printing off the 200+ PAYG Summaries I had the dreadful task of trying to fold the papers to actually fit the standard DL Window face envelopes.... and yes it happened again this year. Can you please fix ready for next Financial Year. Also when posting the PAYG's for this year the post office informed me it will cost $1/envelope next year, can you also add in an upgrade to actually email the PAYG Summaries. Due to our business having a lot of casual/seasonal employees a lot of them change residential address but still have an email address. We get an average of 20% return back to us and we have no contact whatsoever of whereabouts of old employee.

Jodie-SS we already email our payment summaries. The same employees who we email payslips to, we email their payment summaries.

Thank you for your feedback in regards to the payment summaries and showing the address information on the payment summary. I have marked your idea as under consideration in regards to that. I do encourage others that would like to see the option for the address to be moved on the payment summary to align with envelopes to vote and comment if required for this idea.
In regards to emailing payment summaries I would encourage you to show your support for emailing payment summaries elsewhere on the AccountRight Idea Exchange. I believe CazFromVMG was referring to the workaround of generating a PDF copy via saving the payment summaries and then manually attaching to emails. Alternatively if you are on AccountEdge you can use the Print Payment Summaries option and within the MAC printer window select PDF>>Email PDF in the bottom left. Please note that you would need to manually add in the email address of the employee and also it would need to be completed one at a time.
It would be good to allow emailing the Group Certificates from MYOB. Exporting some 60+ PDF's to then go and email each individually is less than ideal.
Definately agree.....when I have 80+ employees to send Payment Summaries to, it is very time consuming emailing one by one. Please MYOB ? Thank you
I would like to see MYOB add the ability to email payment summaries to employees.
Would be great to be able to e-mail payment summaries to employees upon their creation to the e-mail address they recieve their payslips to.

I would like to be able to email payment summaries straight to my employees instead of having to save to file and then individually attach the saved pdf file to the email and send. Quickbooks has had this facility for some years now and means that 45 payment summaries are emailed straight out to the employees in one step.

Can someone help please! I have printed the PAYG Summary and the tax withheld no amoun. However at the bottom of the page it "Exempt Foreign Employment Income" and the amount reflected is the tax withheld.

There is an issue with the MYOB software in that the tick that used to be on Total Tax is now on the Foreign Income.
If you have not closed the payroll year then re-run the Payment summaties and on the 3rd screen with the selections remove the tick on the Ex Foreign Income selection on the left side and put it on the Total tax selection. Follow through the process, reprint the Payment Summaries, and re-save the empdupe file for the ATO.
Throw away the ones you have printed
If you have closed the pay roll year then restore the backup made before you closed. i suggest that you name the restored data file PAYS 2013.myo so that you do not mix it up with your live file and then follow the same process above.

We have a client who has 140 employees. This is the first time they have used myob to do the payment summaries so it was trial and error for them. When it got to the printing stage, they were hoping there was going to be a section where they could click on all the payment summaries that have an email address and then email to their employees. We were thinking it would be a similar process to emailing payslips.
Can this please be considered for the upgrade as doing a PDF for 140 employees then doing an individual email for each is very time consuming.

Thank you for your idea in regards to AccountRight and emailing of payment summaries. As mentioned by TonyLane this idea has been suggested elsewhere on the AccountRight Idea Exchange. I would recommend showing your support for emailing payment summaries
Why can't I email Payg summaries like we email pay slips. It will take too long to email 141 if you have to email each person separately. Posting is also time consuming and expensive. If you want business with large staff numbers to use MYOB this is essential.
I agree - I will be sending out Payment Summaries for a client who has a lot of casual employees and having to look up each email address and manually send the Summaries is very time consuming.
Does anyone know of a quicker way to email out the Summaries?
I see going back to 2012 there are requests for the email functionality to be available for Group certificates.
Please lend your support to this idea - it will make year end much easier .
