Bank Reconciliations

I am trying to reconcile my bank account, however will not allow bank charges to be GST Free, nore receive money GST Free.  How do I get around this problem?

If you are registered for GST try this

First off have a look at your Chart of Accounts >Expenses>Bank Fees. It should be set to FRE.

I am rather surprised that you cannot change Tax Code as a Spend Money transaction allows you to use any tax code, including some that are totally incorrect. I assume that the FRE Income is Interest and again I would recommend that you check the income account that you are trying to use.

If you are not registered for GST

All of your accounts should be N-T and you should not be using any of the GST codes
