Bank account set up, not available in transaction entry

Bank account set up, not available in transaction entry

Hi there

I have set up two new account,  account type - "bank" , one is for USD account, the other is for USD deposit paid to a supplier. These account can be seen in accounts list, in the drop down list of Pay From Account when enter a payment, as well as from Reconcile account function.

 

However,  they do not appear in:

1. Bank register - when I go to bank register, these 2 account do not show up.

2. Transfer Money -  When i try to record the transaction for using AUD to buy USD and deposit into USD account, i am wishing to use "transfer money" function to record this transaction, but the USD account i've set up does not show up in the drop down list of "transfer money to" 

 

Can anyone give me some advice please?

Hi @KellyWei 

 

Foreign currency bank accounts will not appear in the Bank Register window. However, the transactions for those accounts can be seen through the Find Transactions and Reconcile Accounts windows.

 

With regards to transferring currency between different currency accounts, you want to use the Spend Money or Receive Money windows to record those transactions. The Transfer Money window has no provision to record those foreign currency-based transactions.
