I had a client call me eaarly this morning on my mobile phone.  Nothing unusual at all about that.

 

However, while talking to him I needed to log into AR in order to answer his question.  Well as Murphy's law would have it, I hadn't yet logged into AR this morning and as the 2FA option to trust my PC for 30 days is currently not working, I had to juggle the phone & his call to get a new log in code.

 

This is driving me batsh!t crazy.

 

It worked for 30 days and now it isn't.  Sorting this out really needs to be given a bit more priority.

thanks @Neil_M that didn't work when I cleared firefox and Edge's caches (just remembered I didn't do chrome, but I've only use that once). I just looked at Hayden's solution further in this thread, and before I go playing with the settings, I have cleared IE's cache (another program I never ever use, but thought I'd do that first anyway).
Tomorrow I will try Hayden's fix.

Guys,

 

Could some body at MYOB please get this sorted out urgently.  For nearly 2 weeks I have had to enter a 2FA code every day.  Once for AccountRight clients and then again for Essential clients.

 

I am ticking the box that says trust for 30 days, but your software is only trusting the device for 1 day.

 

It worked fine for the first 30 days and now it is broken.

 

Could you please give us an update.  All suggestions to clear the browswer cache etc has not resolved the problem.

Sorry to crash your thread but I'm in another thread (linked below) at the moment where we are are experiencing the same (frustrating) issue.  

 

Any updates on what is being done to address this would be very much appreciated.

Sorry about the delay in posting an update on this matter. Our team have been working in the background and have spoken to a number of MYOB clients and partners who have raised this issue. We've worked through various scenarios to understand what is causing the most pain, many thanks to those of you who have been generous with your time and input. 

 

As a result of those conversations we’ve created this hints & tips article Trust this device for 30 days which will either help you resolve or explain the specific situations that will negate the “Trust this device” setting where appropriate.

Hi Suja,

 

Do the team have an explanation why changing from authernticating via the Google app to using the email method seems to be working for me at the moment.

 

I recently changed my authentication method as I am travelling overseas and since changing to the email method, I have not needed to renew my authentication.

Hi @AlanT

 

I believe we found that most of the Users this was affecting was agnostic of which method you are using (Email, Authy or Google Authenticator). However I have noted down these details and submitted them to the teams here for testing to see if they are able to replicate an issue or provide a possible explanation.

 

That said, it's great to hear that you have a method that is working for you in this case.

 

I will post again once I hear back from the team.

I am having no difficulties with this with xero - only with myob. Same computer. Could MYOB please fix this.

 

I already tried the suggestions that were given but no joy.

We’re very pleased to update that the issue resulting in the ‘Trust this device for 30 days’ option not working, has now been resolved.

 

There will still be some circumstances where you will be asked to enter the authentication code, despite having selected ‘Trust this device for 30 days’. The following article Trust this device for 30 days explains the specific situations that will negate the “Trust this device” setting.  

 

We also recommend referring to our Help article on Two-factor authentication for more information on the topic.
