Accountright V19.5

I hve had to ugrade to Windows 11 from windows 8. I still use my faithful Accountright V19.5 (small business two employees ) that really met all my needs.

So loaded it onto the new computer (Windows 11 ) and everyting works except it won't email the invoices through Outlook. Says it is missing the MAPI32.ddl extension.

So my son who is I think a pretty good IT guy put the MAPI extension into everything we could think of without success. We have got it to the point when it will now open the email window but when you click ok it comes up with the error "An email session could not be started. Please check your MAPI installation."

Am I just going to have to bite the bullet and get an upgrade

Thanks

Re: Accountright V19.5

Hi @Mark299

Did you install or copy files over. Download the installer from here and install. If you can't get v19.5 working, try v19.12 (but no later).

Gavin

Re: Accountright V19.5

Hi Gavin

Did a clean install from the MYOB site.

So deleted the 19.5 version and down loaded the 19.12 version and unfortunately the same result.

Will let you do everything except email to outlook.

Thanks

Re: Accountright V19.5

Hi @Mark299

If your version of Outlook 32 bit or 64 bit. MYOB only works with 32 bit. If unsure how to check, do a net search.

Re: Accountright V19.5

Hi @Mark299

Unfortunately no, even the latest MYOB version (AR2022.11) requires 32 bit Outlook.

Gavin

Re: Accountright V19.5

Hi @Mark299

There is a workaround if you "Send" the invoices to to Disk and save the .pdf's to your desktop or a folder and then you can link the emails to send. You can also Print to .pdf and save and send. It's a little more work but much cheaper and less frustrating than upgrading.

Cheers

Liz
