Accounts Showing as Inactive after Importing from another Company

I have imported an accounts list from one company to another. When i enter a general journal the new accounts do not show on the drop down list. I googled this issue and saw on another forum that unless the Inactive Accounts box is not ticked when exporting then all the accounts will import as inactive. Can you please advise me how i go about changing this without having to go through each individual account and changing to active.

I am using MYOB AccountRight Live Plus

Thanks

Julie

Re: Accounts Showing as Inactive after Importing from another Company

Hello @Julie9

If you have already imported a series of accounts into a file and they have been marked as inactive, there are two options to change to active. You could manually go through what you have imported in AccountRight and change each account to active as needed. (See To deactivate or reactivate a record.) Alternatively, you could export the records again, update the file in Microsoft Excel, then import the updated information back into AccountRight. For full instructions on this process, please see To deactivate or reactivate bulk records.

Let me know how you get on and if I can be of any further assistance.

Kind regards,
Emily
