Can't log in to MYOB today

Hi,

 

I can't get into MYOB today.  Never had this happen before, usually my email comes up automatically to log in but today it's blank.  When I enter my email and password I get this error. I have tried restarting my machine but it didn't make a difference. Please see attached pic of the error screen. The 'Learn more about this' option doesn't bring up any info when I click on it.  MYOB, can you help asap please?

Hi @SharonSL

 

Generally, you encounter this situation when the browser thinks multiple login sessions have been created. Typically to resolve this situation you would:

  1. Close AccountRight and ensure all other browsers are closed.
  2. Open Internet Explorer (it does need to be Internet Explorer don't use your default browser)
  3. Navigate to the Secure MYOB site - https://secure.myob.com and select Sign Out (top right)

You should now be able to open AccountRight and log in as intended.

Hi Steven,

 

Thanks for responding so quickly.  I tried that using Internet Explorer but can't see 'sign out' anywhere at all.  So I tried signing in but get the same error as before.  I don't usually log in using my browser, I click the icon on my machine and I don't have it open anywhere else...

As mentioned, after navigating to the Secure MYOB site - https://secure.myob.com the Sign out option is located in the top right of that website. I've highlighted the value in green with the below screenshot for you.

Hi @SharonSL

 

Trying logging in as per normal to that site and completing two-factor authentication if required. Once logged in select the Sign Out option (as listed above on this thread).


If you are still experiencing that error after completing the above steps, some clients have found some success with resetting their Internet Explorer settings back to the default as per Change or reset Internet Explorer settings. Note: We do recommend speaking to an IT person if you do need to complete that reset of the Internet Explorer settings.

I can't log in there either, I get the same error...  So would resetting the Internet Explorer settings to default still apply?

I just figured it out. I had to change my IE security setting to High yesterday so I could log in to the ATO portal.  I set it back to Medium and I could log in again.
