Hello, we are about to create a second online company file (I have previously confirmed we are entitled to 2 company data files).
I have had some practices in Clearwater exporting and importing data, but would prefer a blank file to import our Chart of Accounts with no exisiting balances in the file.
Can we create a new data file, import the lists, and if that mucks up, delete that file and start again ? And when we are happy with the end product - Activate it ?

You certainly can. When creating a new company file, skip the serial number step so the file is not activated. You can use this file locally for up to 30 days before having to activate it, if you do not like it, simply delete it then create a new one.
When creating the company file you can choose to either use one of our account list templates or choose to start blank and import your own, more details can be viewed on this Help page, should you be interested - create a company file.
