I set up a user that should have been an Adviser. As they accessed the system it now will not let me delete them and re-added. Also will not let me change the user type. How can I correct this?

Thanks for your post, and Welcome to MYOB Community Forum.
When deleting a user, kindly go to Setup > User access > Click the User ID of the user > Then click the bin to delete the user. Please refer to the screenshot below.
You may also check The Help Article Set up user access for further information on how to add an advisor.
