Emailing Superannuation payments to employees

Hi,

This is probably a silly question but is there a way to email employees their monthly superannuation payments....I know the amount is written on their payslips however I'm wanting to know if there is a way to email the employees when the actual payment has been made to their super fund ?

Re: Emailing Superannuation payments to employees

@jhp

Good question,

Some years ago, there was a Superannuation Pay Slip but it is no longer necessary.

The Government/ATO is working on the Super Gap and Single Touch Payroll.

I understand that Super Funds will be required to tell the ATO when a payment is received.

It would make sense to me that the Super Fund would also tell the employee.

In my view, SG payments should be made monthly not quarterly especially if PAYG - W is paid monthly.

It is up to the employee to take an interest in their super, know when the payments are due and check their account to ensure payment has been made.

The Super Gap is a big concern for the Government but I don't agree that it should be a reason for small employers to have Same Day Reporting under Single Touch Payroll.

Reporting of super payments to employees should have been part of SuperStream.
