Exporting to Excel

Hi,

I cannot export reports to excel. No error message. Nothing happens.  since this problem has occured I cannot print to PDF either.

Our IT guys have exhaused all options.  We have uninstalled and reinstalled MYOB. Changed excel to 32 bit. Turned off the virus software.

Anymore ideas?

Cheers

Sarah

Re: Exporting to Excel

HI @sarsj, have you attempted to repair Office? That has been known to help.  (Via programs & features, right-click choose Change, then Quick Repair).

Also, uninstalling both AccountRight and Office, then re-installing Office, then AccountRight (in that order), is another possible solution.

Re: Exporting to Excel

Hi Mike

Yes, I have tried repairing Office. Still not working.

I have confirmed that I can print to pdf directly from the sales screen and purchase order screen, but cannot print to pdf from the reports screen.  And cannot export to excel from the reports menu or screen.

Regards

Sarah

Re: Exporting to Excel

Hi @sarsj,

Generally, the issue you've described suggests that there are OfficeLink files missing or there are drivers that need to be re-registered. Note that the files required for Excel to run OfficeLink are swdrv16.dll, swenum16.dll, drvxl16.dll and either drvxl32.exe (if using Excel 97 or later) or drvxl16.exe (if using Excel 95).

To re-register the drivers, go to the relevant MYOB program folder (e.g. Plus19 / Premier19) and double-clicking on the relevant driver/s (e.g. either drvxl32.exe or drvxl16.exe). A WordPad window should appear. Close this window, re-open AccountRight and try again.

Warm Regards,

Tallie

It ended up our IT solved the problem after online chat with MYOB support.

It end up Windows 10 on my computer needed Office 2013 or newer.  I had Office 2010.

Office 2010 does work with MYOB but only with Windows 7, not Windows 10.

Pdf writer working again also, after installing a newer version of Nitro.
