GJ Number Sequence

Hi,

There was error in GJ number sequence when trying to import GJ, so we deleted the GJ but now the GJ sequence is not alligning.

I have already manually entered GJ number few times to allign with the system but still it's not picking up the correct sequence number?

How do i fix it?

Thanks

Re: GJ Number Sequence

Hi @Rita2

Thank you for your post. To get the General Journal number back into alignment, you would need to find out what number that you want it to be then manually overtype the number to be the required one. Once that has been entered please enter another transaction with the next number sequence e.g. GJ000010, GJ000011, AccountRight should then pick up the sequence.

If you've done the above and it's still not working, I'd suggest clearing your AccountRight cache and then attempt to enter the correct sequence.

Please do let us know if you have any further questions.

Re: GJ Number Sequence

Hi @Rita2

Thanks for the update and apologies for the delay in my response. To troubleshoot, can you please reset the number sequence by manually entering a new number in the General Journal. For example if your General journal number is GJ000010, can you please manually enter in GJ000020, GJ000021. I'd like to see if this will reset and update the sequence.

Please do let me know how you go.

Cheers,
Melisa

Re: GJ Number Sequence

Hi Melisa,

I have been doing that but it's hasn't updated the sequence number.

Actually now it's stuck in one GJ number 3996, since I deleted the cache.

What's the other solution?

Thanks,

Rita

Re: GJ Number Sequence

Hi Mellissa,

Any update on this.

EOFY is nearly here.

Will appreciate, if we could fix this asap?

Will be a lot of pain trying to remember the sequence number during busy times.

Thanks,

Rita

Re: GJ Number Sequence

Hi @Rita2

Thanks for troubleshooting. Can you please send me a private message with the following information so I can investigate this:

  • Serial number
  • Your full name & email address
  • Version number of AccountRight that you're using (this can be found by going to help > About MYOB AccountRight)

Cheers,
Melisa
