I am currently working offline so I'm not sure what the solution is.  I also have a new PC with 16GB RAM, and 1.81 TB storage.  Not sure if this info is needed, but thought I'd add.

Hope someone can help with this issue?

Many thanks,

Valerie

Re: Huxley.Application error

Hi @vpk11

The out of Memory Exception is a bug in MYOB. It is poorly coded for some functions and simply chews up memory until it is exhausted. It doesn't matter how much RAM you have the max windows can allocate is 2GB, approx half is used for the program, leaving a useful 1GB.  What are you doing that triggers this? Some reports can't be generated without triggering this error, if for example you have over about 3000 items. Large files will also trip up with this error - I see it far too often.

Only solution is coding changes unfortunately, or tiny file sizes.

Regards

Gavin

Re: Huxley.Application error

Hi Gavin,

thanks for the info, will look into the next step for us.  Hopefully the bug will be sorted out one day...

I was adding a new item onto a puchase order, something that needs to be done daily.

Regards,

Valerie

Re: Huxley.Application error

Hi @vpk11

Do you have a large number of Items? Also one thing most people don't realise about Orders is that once an order is converted to a Sale or Purchase, the order is hidden and can never be viewed again, however it does remain in the file and takes up valuable space. If you keep having issues google 'file utility for myox' or similar. This utility will show you some useful information about your myox file (stats etc) and will also show you how much space is taken up by Orders converted to sales/purchases - in other words wasted space that can be reclaimed.

Regards

Gavin
