As the issue is impacting the confirmation system itself, it wouldn’t matter whether you tried to confirm by phone or online as the issue persists. I recommend having a look at our announcement post on the issue, Unable to Activate/Confirm - 02/09/2019. This is where all updates on the issue will be posted
