Merging files

Hi

I am currently trying to merge the payroll file into another business file but when I do the import/export with card files it isn't transferring everything like staff details, pay rates etc. Can you please tell me how I can get everything over into the one file or do I need to enter all staff's details again due to being payroll. Also can the previous payroll (wages) that have been paid can they import over also.

I would love to know if this can be done or can you please point me into the right direction.

Regards

Natasha

Re: Merging files

Hi @BGCS

Unfortunately MYOB is very limited here. When it comes to payroll the only thing you can export and import are the Employee Cards, and only basic information (not payroll details). You will need to set this all up manually.

You cannot export or import payroll transactions, however you can set Payroll History in the new file. Go to Payroll Details tab on employee card, select Pay History. Here you can add amounts which you take from the same location in the file payroll was previously processed.

Re: Merging files

Hi Gavin

Thank you for that, it will be a long process doing it manually but that will give me the opportunity to update employees that need to be.
