Premier 19- Rolling back to financial year 2017

Hi,

I already rolled over to FY 2018, however I now realise I have to to enter a few 2017 EOY adjustments.

I am using Premier 19 but I cannot see the option of rolling back a FY. Could someone please advise what I can do?

Thank you,

Michy

Hi Michy

Go File > Start New Year > Start a New Financial Year

Click Continue > Continue

At New Financial Year edit the number and make it 2017

Then continue the process

Make sure that you back up first

Re: Premier 19- Rolling back to financial year 2017

Hi @michy7

V19 does not have a roll back feature. Once you roll a FY forward, the best advice is to make corrective adjustments in the next year (under guidance from your bookkeeper or accountant) or restore the pre rollover backup and re-enter.

The approach suggested by @JeffreyStephens will work, provided you are 100% certain you did not purge closed transactions from the 2017 FY. If you purged transactions and attempt what was suggested, your financial statements will be corrupted and you will end up with an un-retrievable mess. If you do try, make sure you have a copy of your 2017 financial statements, and after the rollback, check that everything is the same before using this file.

Regards

Gavin
