My network printer, which is the one I use for MYOB is in for repairs and will take some time to fix. I have a local printer attached to my computer but when I try to go into Print Setup in MYOB (v18) to change printer I get the Printer Error #5 message. I have tried changing my default printer via Control Panel but this didn't help. Is there a way to change printers in MYOB if the current printer is not connected?

Printer error number 5 is an error that comes about when your Windows User Account Control settings are interfering with your printer settings, we have a guide on how to adjust your User Account Control Settings on this support note.
