Setting up new Users

not sure of MYOB location as we have been with MYOB for many years.  we previously have had an email for our accounts employee and the user name changes when a new employee starts - the email stays the same accounts@XXXX.com.au but when i tried today to setup for the new employee with new user name and then email address being the same i keep getting message saying this email is already in MYOB,  but it's not because i cancelled it when the last employee left our business.  really need this user to have access to MYOB with the accounts email.  what can i do urgently so she can get access??

Re: Setting up new Users

Hi

The user name of the last employee has the email account associated it with , which is the problem if I understand correctly

If that is the case

Have you made them inactive? Don't think they are deleted if the email is still recognised by MYOB

If so reactivate them and change the user name.

As a suggestion I would make a generic user name e.g accounts and just change the password when there is a change in staff. This would help avoid the issue

Hope that helps

Re: Setting up new Users

thanks Lisa,  yes MYOB still recognised the old user so the new employee can sign in using the old user name. think it should be fixed by MYOB

Re: Setting up new Users

Hi

Are you able to change the user name yourself?

If so that would be the easiest thing to do.

Are you the administrator?

if you are then you can go into the users and check set up
