Split a transaction across multiple categories

I am looking at using categories on MYOB AccountRight to track five departments that we have set up within our business. This should be fairly straightforward for the majority of our transactions as we can allocate individual transactions to a single category. There are however a few accounts (Travel Expenses, Wages, etc) that we would like to allocate across multiple categories.

My question is, is it possible to split a transaction (for example an invoice for flights and accommodation or a wages payment) across two or more categories and if so can you split it up with a simple percentage (70% allocated to core business and 30% allocated to sales)

Thanks,

Michael

Re: Split a transaction across multiple categories

@MichaelEFM

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find plenty of useful information.

As far as I am aware you can only have one category linked to any one Invoice or Bill.

Unlike Jobs where you can have multiple.

If you have one Bill that needs to be split over multiple Categories then you need to enter multiple Bills one for each Category.

If my response to your query and has helped, please mark my post as a solution to help others in the future.
