Strange Error in Stock On Hand after Stock take - a Negative Figure

Hi,

I did my first stock take last year and had a problem with a positive 2.22044604925031E-16 on hand. I posted on the MYOB Community on 8th June 2020 and Steve_M help me.

This years stocktake on 30.6.2021 - I have the same problem again but this time it is a negative figure of -1.77635683940025E-15

When I go into my inventory - items listed - click to sort by On Hand. This is were I found the error.

All the other items from the stock take are correct except this one.

I had 16.6 Litres of OIL on hand before stock take. I had no stock left, so I took out 16.6 Litres.

If I click on the product in MYOB it tells me there is Nil stock on hand but on the screen with all the the other products it tells me there is negative :  -1.77635683940025E-15 on hand.  This is a different OIL and different ITEMS NUMBER than last years problem. 

I ran an Inventory Value Reconciliation Report and the OIL that has the negative figure next to it has NIL stock On Hand but does have $0.01 figure next to it (See attached page from the Inventory Value Reconciliation report) 

Does it matter the the Inventory Value Total and the Account Balance Total is out by -$0.16 negative.

I am quite happy to make this product item code inactive and reopen a new product item code.

We probably looking at needing that script run again over the company file for you. Would you mind just confirming the following information so we can arrange for that one:

• Where the company file is stored i.e. online or local
• What the LAST FOUR DIGITS of the serial number is - Setup>>Company Information
• What is the company file ID - Help>>About AccountRight

Thanks for confirming that information.

I have run the necessary script for you. Do ensure that you close down and reopen the company file to ensure that those scripts fully are applied.
