Unexplained (system) logins shown on session report

I have recently upgraded to Accountright online. My session reports not only show my users logging in and out but also (system) logins. These happen multiple times an hour continuously 24hours a day, even when all my pc's are shut down. Can anyone explain this? It is very disconcerting!

Re: Unexplained (system) logins shown on session report

Hi @BCooke

Thanks for your post. The System user is used by automated or batch operations performed through the AccountRight API, this user completes some of the system based tasks and functions. Some examples of this are the automated Bank Feeds pushed into the company file, which would account for instances of System user throughout the night. Also invoice reminders access invoice details in order to send out invoice email via the System user. Others may include the auto matching for Bank Feeds. These automated operations can occur if you are logged in or not.

If you are concerned about access we do recommend checking our help article Ways you can protect your AccountRight company file
