Unpresented cheques - details purged

I have two unpresented cheques from 2011! When I go in to try and reverse them as sugggested on other posts the message I get is "Transaction can't be displayed because its details have been purged". Any ideas on how I can clear up my Bank Rec from these cheques which will obviously never be presented?

Thanks.

@KHaggar

Obviously when the End of Year rollovers have been done the purgeing of  the journals have also been done.

You know who the Supplier is and you know the amount. Create a new Bill as a negative. This will create Debit note which you can then go in and apply to the bank account giving you the equal and opposite transaction to be able to clear the outstanding cheque.

If my response to your query and has helped, please mark my post as a solution to help others in the future.

@KHaggar @GDay53

I understand that a cheque has a life of 15 months.

A Bank Reconciliation should be reviewed for Outstanding Cheques.
