User Access

I am setting up read-only access for our external auditors (Accountant/Bookkeeper role). They are unable to download any reports (trial balance etc) which is essential for them to be able proceed with the audit. I set up a test user with the same profile to check what was happening and the Reports tab and the Accounts tab are greyed out with this profile. This must be a common requirement (ie read only with access to reports) . What is the solution? Thank you. Diane

Re: User Access

Hi @Diane210

Just testing the default Accountant/Bookkeeper role they should have in the Reports and Accounts tab. I would recommend navigating to the Manage Roles section in the User access and ensuring that those functions are available when the particular role is selected.

In addition to that, do ensure that the user doesn't have any other roles enabled as it can get conflicting information from two or more different roles.

If you are still encountering that situation, we would need to see a screenshot of the Manage Roles tab for when that users' role is selected and one where we can see what role has assigned to them in that Manage Users window.

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: User Access

Thanks Steven.

I'm now thinking the defaults for these roles may have been set up by a previous administrator.

I went further into the manage roles and found there was some conflict between different levels of the functions.

I believe it has been resolved now.

Thanks for getting back to me and helping me resolve this issue.

Regards

Diane
