I have had a few requests from people who are professional ebay sellers wanting an accounting package that allows them to get direct feeds from Paypal. I hear that Xero offers this however this is not offered by MYOB.

Paypal is the preferred method of payment for many online sellers so MYOB is missing out on many new clients by not offering this add on.

"Bankfeed for Paypal"

Current Status: Maybe later
Last Changed: June 2016

Hi everyone,

For some time now we have worked with the team at PayPal to provide a transaction feed. Whilst both parties still hope to do so in the future, at this stage we cannot reach a satisfactory commercial arrangement.

We will provide an update on this forum, when the status changes.

Hi @Pipped

Thank you for your for feedback in regards to this idea and finance charges invoices. I have shared your feedback with the team.

You mentioned that you the file is too large for AccountRight Live. The largest file size that AccountRight will be able to upload would be 1.3 GB (this was increased with 2014.4). Please note that this is what AccountRight can handle, Internet speed can impact on that greatly.

OK, so it was planned 18 months ago, but still not delivered.  Any likelihood of it soon?

Ahhh, I see that it was first planned back in 2010.  So nothing in 5 years.  I think it is a safe assumption that this will never be included in MYOB.

This "idea" is one of the same for both products AR Live and Essentials.  There is more votes out their due to pages being duplicated for the need to have paypal bank feeds.

Please introduce paypal bank feeds! Myob is falling behind compared to other accounting software providers!

I really hope MYOB can  work on this and come to a agreement with PAYPAL to make this work. Fingers crossed sooner rather than later.

We have started having paypal sales just this year and I am still trying to figure out how to get it to balance nicely in MYOB. I am almost hoping this side of the business doesnt take off because right now it is tough and time comsuming to balance out the paypal account.

PayPal transactions are becoming almost as large as our mainstream bank transactions (hunders per week) via our website and eBay.  Other accounting software has bank feeds set up and I am at a loss why MYOB cant do the same.  If MYOB counts itself as a true player in the cloud accounting market, I would assume this is a no brainer to get up and going.

I maintain the accounts for a volunteer charitable organisation which receives a lot of funding by small donations made via PayPal. Whilst we welcome these donations, they generate a lot of work for our treasurer. A process similar to "Bank feeds" for other bank accounts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
