at present in 2018.2 if want to put extra PAYG in, can only use a $$ figure

 

can it be added that can also put a percentage of gross pay in as a lot of staff do not have same gross pay if on shift work etc and time consuming if have to change before commence payroll

Hardly worth the effort of voting and commenting since I'm the first since 2018... However, it's also the first time I've had an employee request this in 20+ years of payroll processing. For a casual employee, it it not practical to select a fixed amount of extra tax to be withheld. If they have a big week, it won't be enough, if they have a small week, it could be too much. I have tried to work out a way to use the variation withholding rate instead but I'm not confident that will calculate correctly. Looks like I'm doing a manual tax calculation every week for this employee.
