Does anyone know if it is possible to split an invoice into multiple categories and how to do it? also to split an employees hours between categories? 40% Dept A; 60 % Dept B,

AccountRight has Categories. This is a effectively a Transaction Header field, as you can only have 1 Category value for each transaction.
It would be great to be able to have something similar available at the Transaction Line Item level. That is multiple category values within the same transaction.
Maybe you could just change the data structure so that the Category values can also be used at the transactaion line item level? Or maybe it would have to be a new field?
This would be useful for reporting on Grant income where the Job code is used for another purpose.
It would be great if we could have categories on a line per line basis as we can do with Jobs.
Plus the ability to change a category on an invoice/purchase transaction after it has been paid.

Yep I'm somewhat surprised this feature doesn't already exist.
We have a Telstra bill that covers multiple Depots - we don't want to enter the invoice multiple times but we want to see the costs split on the Category P&L Report.
