When posting Journal Entries there is new behaviour on the second line.

If your first line is a debit entry of say $100, when you tab to the second line it automatically populates the credit column with $100.

If you have more debits you have to then delete that entry, sioft-tab to go back the debit column and enter your amount.

This is frustrating and time consuming.

Please change it back so when you tab you get the debit column again and the credit only automatically populates when you tab off the bebit column WITHOUT entering anything

Apologies if this has already been raised, but a search didn't bring it up

Hi Everyone

General journals being entered through the AccountRight browser interface are not impacted by this situation. Where the user does manually need to type in the required amount to the other side of the transaction, rather than the system automatically adding that value in.

Hi AccountRight Team

From a programmers perspective automatically jumping to the Journal Credit Column  and calculating the credit transaction to complete the debit transaction of the journal might seems clever and innovative.

From an Accounting prespective it doesn't work.

Most Journals have more then one line and having to delete the credit transaction automatically generated and return to the debit column to continue your journal is time consuming and frustrating.

Can I please suggest that this 'enhancement' is removed as its clever programming but silly accounting.

Thanks

Why do we need to vote, obviously it needs to be fixed, when you have multible entries to do it is a paid in the butt. This should not happen in the first place. Every line of entry I need to delete credit column and click on Debt column so i can enter, when entering 50-100 lines at a time it is painfull. Why make everyone move over to Accountright with no choice and not have accountright working propperly, we now pay big bucks just for the subscription, Why!!!!
