Reconcile Accounts: Click and drag to select (multiple) tick boxes

Hi,

can you please bring back the function that was available in the old versions of MYOB eg Premier v19, whereby you could click and drag the mouse down over the tick boxes in a Bank Reconciliation or when processing payroll? I know the feature to click and select / unselect ALL the tick boxes, but the drag and select feature was really useful for selecting / unselecting groups of transactions in one go. I get so frustrated having to click each single box!!

Whilst chatting to a MYOB specialist yesterday, we discussed how in the older MYOB's ie v 19 etc, you were able to select a few items when reconciling for example in Banking - Reconcile Accounts.

I have a few accounts that have several hundred entries and more. To allocate say 400 of 700 entries, I need to either select all and unselect indivually the 300 not to be allocated, or selected the 400 indiviually.

In the earlier versions, you were able to click on one entry and scroll down or hold down the arrow or something(can't quite remember the action), but the entry would highlight and be selected. This goes much quicker than ticking one box at a time.

Please can you help by updating this? I know we now have bank feed, but the banks are the least of my worry to allocate. They are not my biggest accounts requiring this reconcilation function.

I know your plates are full with the new Super function, but this would make reconcilations go so much quicker.

I would really appreciate it if you would look into this.

Yes please! It is a serious time waster having to individually click each job when creating a Job Profit & Loss or Job List report, we need to be able to select multiple jobs easily - the old way of click and drag to select a series of jobs or transactions was fine - can't believe we have to click each one individually - it's painstakingly slow when you might want to run a report for 100 jobs or more!

In Version 19 and before the "Select from List" used a "tick"column, and it was quick to select all, to deselect all, and to select or deselect by running the cursor up/down the parts of the column required. Examples: (1) To select just the super accruals for all employees in one fund "Superannuation Accrual by Fund Detail" just deselect all, then run cursor from the first to last of the required lines (2) To select the GL accounts for fixed assets and depreciation in "GL Detail Report" just deselect all, run cursor over the lines in the assets section then over the depreciation expense accounts.

And NOW? Selection is by ticking individual boxes, one for each line! Slow enough to be almost useless, and doesn't even use the Windows standard of Shift and Click to select a contiguous group of items..  I spent a couple of hours at MYOB at The Glen about 2 years ago to look at bits of these "new" products and the v19 selection method - with a slide of the cursor -  was pointed out by me as a major feature which needed to be retained.  Was my visit a waste of time, just a patronising gesture?

Yes please please bring this back.   I have the painful job today of trying to reconcile accounts using the bank reconcilation screen ticking hundreds of transactions one at a time! so painfull  

I wish this feature would be included in the latest versions of MYOB Account Right 2015.x this took me 5x times longer than it should have....

Please Please move up to the fix list.

I have just seen while reconciling,   cant hold down the left side of the mouse  and drag down to select the transactions that you want,

This was very usefull and made reconciling very fast. Is their any way to get this back? please

its so time consuming taking me double the time that it used to

now you have to go and change the date that you want and hit select all and go through and untick the ones that you dont want included

maybe a shortcut key in this situation would work well as i see thay are all indivdial boxs now ...

if this can get fixed soon that will be amazing

Hi MYOB team,

it's very annoying now that we only have the option to Select All or deselect All.

When upgrading to a newer platform, i am hoping to do things more efficiently. not the other way around. 

At least provide a way for us to select multiple lines easily.

Please bring back the click and drag 

or a way to press shift + click or something.

This is urgently required... my fingers are growing muscle clicking hundreds of tickboxes

Please bring this feature back. it seems like this has been requested on various posts - even from 3 years ago. why is it still "under consideration"?

How many people need to up vote this for this to happen.

Selecting multiple tickbox with ease is a common sense. 

Please bring the click and drag feature back.

or bring another way to select a group of tickbox easily together. (Shift + click maybe?)
