Reports: My Custom Reports to have filters in Index to Reports

currently when we create a custom report - it's accessed via Reports / My Custom Reports - it doesn't give an option to select the date for the report on the first page (as you do for all the other reports) - so once the report is displayed you have to then chagne the date because it seems to default to the last used.  This is annoying because i'm so used to the report being the correct date once i've displayed it (because that's how all the others work), that it's easy to not realise that the date is wrong.

However, what would be even better, is if we could make changes to the reports and save them over the top of the standard report, instead of it being a My Custom Report.  for example i have created a custom report so tha the purchase order number is on the Receivables Reconcilation report - this is something that i would always want on this report - it would be better if it was just updated as i make the change to the standard report.
