When using MYOB online, and entering a purchase invoice/bill from the intray, I start typing the item number and you can't see any search results without scrolling. I'm sure the search return 'dialogue box' used to be slightly bigger so that it showed at least one item? It's a small issue, but a pain when entering multiple part numbers, having to scroll down so much (first photo attached). It it fine when invoicing (second photo attached) or when entering a bill without going via the intray - the search result shows several items. ... We often have invoices that can be up to 2-10 pages long and have many hundreds of parts on them  Each invoice is usually one job for our customers and it takes a long time to individually input the job number for every part  I would imagine that most businesses using a job number system would do a seperate invoice for each job for a customer ( that is what we do) and what is needed is a spot to put the job number for the entire invoice so that it automatically inserts it each time a part is added. The other option is a fill down function similar to excell where you can highlight the lines you want to insert the job number into and then it asks you for the job number The best solution would be have both options available but just one would be a big benefit  The highlight and fill would be good for where people have two or more job numbers on one invoice whereas the auto finput would be more suited to a single job per invoice Hence both would cover everyone  Again something to make life easier for the Myob user  Darryl     "Making it easy to put a job number on a Large Invoice" ... When users receipt monies to a order, apply payment to order and then turned the order into an invoice, why is it I can't amend, reverse or delete a payment?     Often clients or even bookkeepers might enter the payment to the incorrect order, we just want to change the date or deposit to a different account number.  Typical scenario the user forgot to allocate the payment to undeposited funds and put the payment directly to the bank account.  We can't change a thing!   The below example is tested where I have the reverse tick on and off.  Either one does not work as options are greyed out.   Below example of how you can't delete or reverse   Example of how you can't amend the date or the account number where funds are deposited to:       Often end users are making simple mistakes and get very annoyed when they can't fix the mistakes easily and often end up making more of a mess trying to fix it.  I see this mess all the time with clients using sales orders, applying payment and converting to an invoice.    Then the bookkeeper/consultant comes into play and also gets frustrated because we can't make a small amendment without going through a 5-10 minute process.  So 6 transactions will take a minimum of 30 minutes to fix.     It is difficult for a consultant to train some clients in this current lenghtly steps.  The clients are not bookkeepers and they get very confused.    Currently in order to amend, reverse or delete the only way this can be fixed is to follow this lenghtly process     In order to clear out the deposit you need to reverse the sale. Click on Set up from the toolbar menu, click preferences, click on security tab and put a tick on <Transactions can't be changed they must be reversed> Now locate the original sale and click into the sale Click on Edit from the toolbar menu and then click reverse Click Record Reversal Now go into your sales command centre, click on sales register and click on the <Returns and Credits Tab> The reversed sale should be displayed.  Click on Apply to sale Now click Pay Refund for the amount of the payment.  (This will reverse the deposit from your bank account) Finally now you will need to re-enter the sale in again and apply the correct payment and date. Phew   Please vote for this to be fixed.    Cheers "Clouds"   "Sales Order Function - ability to reverse/delete or edit a payment when applied" ... Hello,   When creating a new Job number, a field that would be useful would be a 'Purchase Order' number from the client. Currently, the fields available are job number, Sub job of, job name, description, contact name, % complete, start date, finish date, manager name, Linked customer. As well as the Linked customer, an additional field named 'Purchase Order" under the Linked customer field would be useful when invoicing the job to the customer.   If other businesses agree this report would be useful, please Like/Agree/Vote with this post, and hopefully MYOB will add this in future updates. I have had a few requests from people who are professional ebay sellers wanting an accounting package that allows them to get direct feeds from Paypal. I hear that Xero offers this however this is not offered by MYOB. I think it would be a great idea to be able to select print and email for invoices/quotes as I keep a hard copy for me and send a email to my clients. Superannuation guarantee Payments in Australia must be paid for all employees (there are some minor exceptions)  that are paid $450 or more in any calender month .   However if the employee is under 18 years of age they must also ( in addition to the $450 requirement) work at least 30 hours per week . This 30 hour requirement is confirmed by both "Australian Tax Office " and " Fairwork Australia"   MYOB does not have the 30 hour requirement in the algorithm , and as a consequence my business which employees a large number of junior casual staff has been paying superannuation unnecessarily . (Over $2,500 in the last two years)   I run MYOB Accountright Plus with the latest updates   MYOB product specialist agrees the 30 hour test is not in their software.   This issue can be worked around by "de checking "  superannuation in the card file and reinstating if the employee works 30 hours , but this is not the type of activity that should need to be done.   I suggest MYOB correct their software   'MYOB AccountRight Plus does not treat Superannuation correctly" ... AR2012 will unreconcile a transaction if it is changed in various ways, including just changing the cheque number.   I recommend this is changed immediately. Ever since the program was first written, one of the commonest support issues has been around users 'accidentally' deleting transactions, and throwing reconciliations out of balance.   Users find the bank reconciliation process difficult at times, and imo there is NO reason for the status of a reconciled transaction to be automatically changed.   I would very reluctantly accept a prompted message "do you want to mark this transaction as unreconciled" following an edit, but only if a bank preference was added to allow/disallow status changes, so that users who want to continue v19 behaviour can do so.   "Do not automatically unreconcile transactions after edits" ... If the close button is pressed by accident, a pop up window comes up and asks if you want to back up the company file.  there is no option to cancel out of this program close function if the close button is used by accident (which is seem to do fairly often) ... View more

We run tens of thousands of jobs in MYOB and refer to the Job Number in our Invoices and Purchases for Cost tracking. Some Jobs run for less than one day, other jobs run for a number of years. The Job list became so full that it totally slowed our whole system down a couple of years ago and we had to start a brand new file just to get rid of the long job list. This meant importing and exporting customers, suppliers, employees, accounts etc and this became a significant task.   Can there be a way to purge jobs without having to close them off by looking at how long ago the last transaction was? I would like to see a facility where I can say Purge all jobs that were not used within the last x number of days and I have the flexibility to select what x equals such as 365 days, 900 days or possibly for some companies 60 days. Sure, I understand that if I select the wrong number of days, I may lose a few jobs that I didnt want to loose but if the process asks for say, two confirmations to proceed, then the risk would be all mine.   I really do not want to have to keep creating a brand new file just to get rid of my long job lists every couple of years   Thanks ... I help run a sporting club. I want a way to send a copy of the same fee invoice to all of the club members.   I currently use Recurring Sales but this is a bit cumbersome as I have to copy the sale to each customer, then when I edit it for next year, I have to edit all of them again. It's a bit difficult with 100-plus members.   I’d really love to just have one template that I could email to a bunch of people.   I'm sure other people would also like this functionality. Why can't we do quotes through the On The Go App?   We have a service business that provides quotes which we then change to orders when the customer has decided to go ahead. It is only when the job is complete we change it to an invoice.   Currently (for us) the On The Go app is only good for looking up customer details and nothing else.   The app needs to have the option of quoting!   I can't even view any quotes or orders already in the system- I can only view invoices, is there any point to that?    "on the go app quotes" ... Hi I have looked at the Employee Benefits tab.  Two things  1. To access, I have to Consent to starting the new employee benefits, but in doing so I also consent to employee personal data being sent to a third party (Flare) without the employee'sconsent.  I realise it is name telephone number and email address, but this is still personal, not mine to consent to being sent without their permission.  Isn't this breaching the privacy and confidentiality of your employees?   2.
